What decides the cost of an automatic door

Two openings that look alike can need very different work. The quote is built from the points below, which is why we measure the site before quoting.

  • Door type: sliding, swing, folding, revolving or telescopic, and single or double leaf
  • Opening size and the weight of the leaves, especially for glass doors
  • Glass and frame choice, including safety glass, tinting and insulation
  • The operator (motor and controller) and its brand
  • Sensors, safety devices and access control such as keypads, cards or intercoms
  • Site conditions: existing frame, power supply, fixing surface and any building work
  • Installation access and working hours, for example at a busy shop or hospital
  • Servicing after installation, which can be covered by a maintenance contract

Why do quotes differ so much?

Quotes for automatic doors and gates in Ajman and Sharjah differ because the work differs, not only because suppliers differ. The main drivers are the size and weight of the leaf, the door type, the motor duty and brand, the safety devices, the finish and glass, the power and cable work, and whether an old unit must be removed. Site conditions such as access, height and approvals can change the scope too. For that reason we do not publish a number. Why can I not get a price over the phone?
A reliable figure needs the opening size, the door weight, the wall and floor condition, the power point and how often the door will be used. Those details come from a visit or good photos. How can I compare two quotes fairly?
Check that both name the same door type, motor, safety devices, finish and installation scope, and that both say who removes the old unit and who handles power and approvals. A lower figure that leaves out photocells or a manual release is not the same offer. Ask for the exclusions to be written down.
